&&. inactivity

So.

It's been a long, long, time since I visited this site.

This post is to officially state that my blog is now ditched.

I have now immigrated to tumblr: http://amaheart.tumblr.com/, and so, due to my persuasive, short words, you are to join as well. Now I simply reblog anything remotely interesting, Harry Potter related, and funny pictures, rather than post shizz about my life ♥

&&. favourites - tagged my michelle q

HUR HUR !

So Michelle Q tagged me to do this Favourites List thingy-ma-bob :L I'm only doing one favourite thing for each category because I'm not bothered to find the second one ♥

SONGS:

'Over The Rainbow' by Mr. Shu and Puck = EPIC WIN.

Though I haven't even watched a single episode of Glee, I must say that this song is an awesome way to end a season :D It's super sweet and cute, and makes me smile no matter what :) I giggled with the lemon drops part, because I immediately thought of a Harry Potter reference.

BOOK:

It's obvious that my favourite is the Harry Potter book series. More specifically, I would say the Order of Phoenix, though killing of Sirius Black made me cry no matter how many times I read it.

I chose Order of Phoenix because it finally shows how utterly idiotic and incredibly stupid the Wizarding World is. I can go on ranting about how they first lionized Harry as if he was a God, and then instantly betray him and constantly ridicule him based on the words of a demented sensationalist. Then I can go on ranting about how Dumbledore is a senile fool who deserves a painful death for being a manipulative freak who treats Harry like a chess piece.

Yeah, it's a really bad reason to like a book >^>;;

MOVIE / VIDEO:

No, it isn't the Harry Potter movies because the directors left out a lot of the key scenes from the books. I'm still angry over what they did to the last movie. So much changes that ended up ruining the an entire epic battle scene.

Anyhow, instead, my favourite video is ' LITERAL Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Trailer ' by Tobuscus from Youtube :)

Hilarious lyrics that makes me giggle, and it's on a Harry Potter movie ! What more can I say ? And just so you know, I memorised all the lyrics to it :D Goes to show how bothered I am.

FASHION:

I am definitely not a fashion person, so I don't have any specific likes or style. But I buy a lot of Korean made clothes nowadays, because they're so cute and comfortable because it's always made of 100% cotton :D

OH ! And yesterday I bought two Harry Potter shirts from Jay Jays, and they're so friggin AWESOME ! I hung them out to admire, and continuously sighed and did small happy dances whenever I look at them. Both cost me $20 each, and it's so worth it ♥ Such a great accomplishment :)

Got the Stupefy shirt in XS because I'm so darn skinny D: And I also got the black Slytherin shirt in XXS because it's actually a guy shirt :) Slytherins are awesome sauce ♥

BEAUTY:

Uh, I am not a make up person as well :L

BUT ! I bought some BYS nail polish from Gloss, so that kind of counts. Got the dark green and silver metallic ones. And you know what also has a green and silver colours scheme ?

That's right - SLYTHERINS !

Bought them just so that I can promote the awesomeness of Slytherins. My school uniform is also green, so it won't be a problem when the teachers ask about them :) I bought them when I went out with Natalie to watch the final movie of Harry Potter.

Well, that concludes this post. Oddly enough, everything in each category is somehow directly or indirectly related to Harry Potter . . .

AH WELL!

I now tag Caitlin, Jessie, Michelle, Stella, Monica, Kartin, and whoever else is reading this post :)

&&. wednesday O2

As per usual, every Wednesday I go to Lakemba Salvation Army store for volunteering :) Today was a blast, and so you're are forced to read this post by my command, in order to understand how awesome my day was.

I go volunteering with Monica, who has a bad habit of saying "Breathe & Succeed" all the damn time whenever I try to start a debate, annoyingly bouncing her feet whenever she's bored, and most of all - saying "Excuse Me?!" in that indignant tone. The last in particular is the focus of today.

I recently started this thing where I count how many times she says it to me, and today was a high score of 8 times :D She was in denial and claimed the number to be 7, but she wasn't the one counting anyway, so her suggestion is counted as invalid. I tried to get her to say "The Words" many times, saying things like:
  • "I'm going to throw my used tissue at you." - a threat that I always use
  • "Are you chucking a big one?" - when I was waiting for her outside the toilets
  • "Your dog just died." - when we were waiting for her bus to come. She doesn't even own a dog, but I said it anyway. Stuff like are most likely to get reactions :)
She of course, was immune to most of these. But, hey! Getting eight "Excuse Me's!?" is a pretty good score, compared to my three "Excuse Me's!?" last week.

The second thing was that today we were told to dress up the mannequins ! Spent most the time picking clothes and the accessory out, but it was really fun :) Here are some pictures:

Oh, and I while I was arguing about something with Monica, I was cut off mid-sentence because I suddenly realised this:

Yes. It's an umbrella stuck up high. And it is a forbidden to question why it is there.

Anyhow, when it's the last hour of our shift, while I go tidy up the bookshelves, Monica randomly picks a book and reads it out. After that, we go back to sorting the clothes by colour coding them. While Monica does that, I stand around and talk about anything that comes across my mind. And I also play around with the clothes hangers.

My awesomeness seriously know no bounds >B)

Seeing that the Guinness World Records doesn't have an entry for "Amount of Clothes Hangers On Hands", I'll have the honour of being the first person :) Until a day later some weirdo with no life (like me) beats the record with a gazillion clothes hangers instead of my measly 1O >^>;;

And during my English class, I was compelled by the mystic force of nature to ask all my friends a question: "To see if you have a dirty mind, what do you see when you read . . ."

homy

If you read it as what I think you did, then laugh :)

And Michelle Shen, if you don't get it, that you means your mind is still pure, as usual. Please don't start asking me questions. I already gave you the sex talk during camp. And sex is not a swear word.

&&. sneeze

During my science class, my face twitched.

And suddenly sneezed.

And again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

I broke my record of sneezing four times consecutively in 2OO8, with six sneezes :) When I told Natalie, she told me to sneeze one more time to make another record. Sadly, I was out of sneezing fuel and therefore stuck with six sneezes.

The unfortunate thing was that after I sneezed six times, I started to get a runny nose D: I used up all my tissues ( the packet was really fat this morning ! ), until Michelle gave me her packet out of the kindness of her heart. But I will forever remember that time at camp where you forced me to pay you with a packet of gum to use your toilet paper/substitute tissue.

And so here I am, typing up this post, while I'm eating cup noodles and drinking hot chocolate, sniffing and sneezing every now and then :')

&&. harry potter, j.k rowling, and pottermore

July the 31st is marked on my imaginary calender as the day Harry Potter and J.K Rowling was born.

Joanne Katheleen Rowling, probably the most brilliant homosapien ever to breathe in planet Earth, and the creator of the Harry Potter world. Over the past decade, J.K Rowling has brought to us a magical world, and gave me the best fandom I have ever loved - even more than manga/anime. She has also created a fictional character name Harry Potter, the hero of the story. No words can express how thankful I am to them for opening up this new dimension of fantasy, another world for me escape to.

Circulating fanfiction (dot) com are many Harry Potter related texts that people copy onto their profiles, and so here are some of them :)

You studied with Hermione. You stumbled with Ron. You hid creatures with Hagrid. You laughed with Fred and George. You fought with Voldemort. You forgot with Neville. You got caught with the DA. You rebelled against Umbridge and Snape. You cheered on Gryffindor. You kept up the rivalry with Draco Malfoy and the Slytherins. You worked with Dumbledore. You stuck with Harry til the end. And now that it's over, all you can do is remember, and thank J.K. Rowling for the time of your life.

Gryffindors … will jump off a cliff.
Slytherins … will push someone else off.
Hufflepuffs… will call five hundred others and build a staircase.
Ravenclaws … will get hold of a flying carpet.

And for all those who claim that Twilight is better than Harry Potter:

You say Twilight. I say Harry Potter.
You say vampires. I say wizards.
You say Jacob Black. I say Sirius Black.
You say Team Edward. I say Team Potter.
You say Robert Pattinson. I say 'is Cedric Diggory'.
You say Taylor Lautner is hot. I say Tom Felton is hotter.
You say Edward. I say 'AVADA KEDAVRA, bitch.'

Also, today is the date of Pottermore Beta registration ! I have already secured my account with the username: NewtThron165, which is not as awesome as Stella's AvisShadow169, which I *CENSOOOOOOOOORED* envy. I'm planning on registering again and again until I get a username as F#&KING badass and awesome.

&&. hp and the end

Despite me being a young hardcore fan of Harry Potter, I have yet to see the final movie. A fellow Harry Potter fan from school said that it was crap and very disappointing, and many other normal friends also said the same thing. This was because of the behind the scenes shown at the BEGINNING of the movie.

I need to purchase the entire movie DVD box set ( once when it comes out ) as well as finally completing my book collection - which still needs The Chamber Of Secrets & The Deathly Hallows. There is also Harry Potter: The Ultimate Collection from The Daily / Sunday Telegraph, that needs to be completed, and comes out every day from 24/O7 to O8/O7. Along the way, Pottermore will also officially start accepting registrations - or at least Betas.

So despite it being the end, as J.K Rowling said: "Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."

As a late celebration, on Monday the the 18th, the day before school started, I had a rather sudden burst of inspiration and decided to do my nails in a Harry Potter theme ! Here are some photos:

Slytherin house colours & ' S ' on the thumb

Gryffindor house colours & ' G ' on the thumb

These rhinestones were a hell of a pain to use, because they have a non-sticky underside, meaning that nail glue was necessary. Sadly, it was completely dried out when I had to use it. Using clear nail polish instead was the crappiest idea, because the rhinestones fell off constantly. I only wore this for a couple of days, because I was losing too much of my precious rhinestones. But they were good for showing off to other Harry Potter fans :)

&&. dreams II

I had another weird dream last night D:

In my dream, I miraculously owned two dogs. One of which was a white maltese dog, and the other was a brown toy poodle. I think the two of them have some sort of resemblance with
Caitlin's and Michelle's dogs :/ Oh, and warning to Caitlin, the next paragraph involves the gruesome death of the dog that looked like Cody :L

Anyhow, the maltese dog was playing in the toilet bowl, and accidentally flushed itself down. It someone ended up coming out of the drain in our second bathroom, apparently dead. It had a slightly disfigured face with blue and yellow eyes, and it's tongue flapping out. So seeing that I was somehow responsible to the death of the dog, I cleaned out the white fluff in the drain to earse all eviden at the crime scene, and went to bury the dog in my backyard.

At this point, the other dog dissappeared, though I didn't question because I was more worried about my Mum killing me for killing the dog. I don't even know why I'm taking responsibilty for it >^>;; So when I was burying the dog with a shovel I never knew I had, this tiny kid from next door climbed up the fence and was threatening to blackmail me. The kid doesn't even exist in real life. He said that I had to come over to his house, and so I did.

We ended up playing this board game that involved mazes and guiding a metal ball through it. At the end point, you were given one second to remember and recite this quote, but I said it wrong. A huge crab was unleashed upon me and I had my waist snipped in half quite brutally. There were blood and guts coming out, and I was seeing this from third person perspective. Which was quite ironic seeing that I ate crab for dinner today. Then I realised that the quote was set up by the father of the kid, which said something like "I am 5 years old, and mum wife did not cheat on dad." I think the father was in denial and thus forced the child to repeat the quote whenever he played the board game . . .

I know, it's weird.
