&&. wednesday O2

As per usual, every Wednesday I go to Lakemba Salvation Army store for volunteering :) Today was a blast, and so you're are forced to read this post by my command, in order to understand how awesome my day was.

I go volunteering with Monica, who has a bad habit of saying "Breathe & Succeed" all the damn time whenever I try to start a debate, annoyingly bouncing her feet whenever she's bored, and most of all - saying "Excuse Me?!" in that indignant tone. The last in particular is the focus of today.

I recently started this thing where I count how many times she says it to me, and today was a high score of 8 times :D She was in denial and claimed the number to be 7, but she wasn't the one counting anyway, so her suggestion is counted as invalid. I tried to get her to say "The Words" many times, saying things like:
  • "I'm going to throw my used tissue at you." - a threat that I always use
  • "Are you chucking a big one?" - when I was waiting for her outside the toilets
  • "Your dog just died." - when we were waiting for her bus to come. She doesn't even own a dog, but I said it anyway. Stuff like are most likely to get reactions :)
She of course, was immune to most of these. But, hey! Getting eight "Excuse Me's!?" is a pretty good score, compared to my three "Excuse Me's!?" last week.

The second thing was that today we were told to dress up the mannequins ! Spent most the time picking clothes and the accessory out, but it was really fun :) Here are some pictures:

Oh, and I while I was arguing about something with Monica, I was cut off mid-sentence because I suddenly realised this:

Yes. It's an umbrella stuck up high. And it is a forbidden to question why it is there.

Anyhow, when it's the last hour of our shift, while I go tidy up the bookshelves, Monica randomly picks a book and reads it out. After that, we go back to sorting the clothes by colour coding them. While Monica does that, I stand around and talk about anything that comes across my mind. And I also play around with the clothes hangers.

My awesomeness seriously know no bounds >B)

Seeing that the Guinness World Records doesn't have an entry for "Amount of Clothes Hangers On Hands", I'll have the honour of being the first person :) Until a day later some weirdo with no life (like me) beats the record with a gazillion clothes hangers instead of my measly 1O >^>;;

And during my English class, I was compelled by the mystic force of nature to ask all my friends a question: "To see if you have a dirty mind, what do you see when you read . . ."

homy

If you read it as what I think you did, then laugh :)

And Michelle Shen, if you don't get it, that you means your mind is still pure, as usual. Please don't start asking me questions. I already gave you the sex talk during camp. And sex is not a swear word.

&&. sneeze

During my science class, my face twitched.

And suddenly sneezed.

And again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

I broke my record of sneezing four times consecutively in 2OO8, with six sneezes :) When I told Natalie, she told me to sneeze one more time to make another record. Sadly, I was out of sneezing fuel and therefore stuck with six sneezes.

The unfortunate thing was that after I sneezed six times, I started to get a runny nose D: I used up all my tissues ( the packet was really fat this morning ! ), until Michelle gave me her packet out of the kindness of her heart. But I will forever remember that time at camp where you forced me to pay you with a packet of gum to use your toilet paper/substitute tissue.

And so here I am, typing up this post, while I'm eating cup noodles and drinking hot chocolate, sniffing and sneezing every now and then :')

&&. chinese excursion

Heyooooo ♥

Today I went to a Chinese excursion to China Town in the City, which was probably the best school outing since the RE camp in 2O1O ! We went to KinoKumiya - a humongous store that sold books & manga & asian magazines & stationary, ate in East Ocean YumCha, explored Chinatown, and went crazy in Galaxy World.

In KinoKumiya, I bought three mangas, the first and second volume of Black Butler, and the first three volumes of Fullmetal Alchemist, which added up to a grand total of $54 ! I had a 3O minute debate with myself with which mangas to buy - ranging from Black Butler, Fullmetal Alchemist, Oresama Teacher, Heart No Kuni No Alice, Pandora Hearts, Yotsuba, and Cardcaptor Sakura, just to name a few. Though the mangas were ridiculously expensive, it was worth it in the end >3<

My new manga - the panda is just there for eye candy :D

After that we went to YumCha at East Ocean, which I sadly didn't take any pictures because I was too busy eating. Anyhow, in the end I had two take away boxes, one of which was fried rice, an the other was an assortment of everything. I feel so greedy for taking so much food = 3=;;

Then, it was free time so me and Natalie, along with Michelle and Monica went to Paddy's Market for window shopping, and then to Galaxy World and had fun playing with arcade games and bumper cars. The bumper cars were hectic, though there were only 4 people playing, with a one on one battle with me and Natalie, and these strangers.

We also went to Aijisen Ramen, and no, not to eat ramen - but to eat yummy shaved snow ice ! Both of us ordered the mango flavoured one ♥

&&. wednesday

Today I went to the Salvation Army store as usual for volunteering, and while I was in the toilet to get tissue paper for Monica to wipe her hands, I saw something horrific D: There was this squashed lizard with blood a - a - and this yellow gooey thing leaking out and splattered on the floor. I hope you're eating something right now, because ruining your appetite makes me smile :) Anyhow, I said "HO - SHIT !" and shuddering as I picked up the lizard, and flushed it down the toilet. To be on the safe side, I saluted the poor thing while singing a terrible parody of the Anzac song - just in case it decides to haunt me or something = 3=;;

Wait, did I even step on it? Find out in the next episode words . . . Not sure :/

Another thing that happened today is that I spottoed a grand total of 14 yellow cars. Yes, I am very proud of myself ! For those who don't know what spotto is, it's a game that Natalie introduced to me , where the objective is to spot a yellow car, and punch the person who is also playing the game. Sadly, Monica rejected my offer in the game because she knows my awesomeness will obviously pwn hers, so I couldn't punch anyone :(

After we finished our volunteering hours, I got some delicous yummy chicken kebab that I was craving for since lunch time. This relates to my next story that happened 10 minutes ago. The kebab was pretty big, so I was only able to finish half of it before Monica got on her bus. So when I microwaved it to eat again, when suddenly there were orange flashes and spark sounds coming from my mircowave.

I thought for a second that I would be transported into the future, but then my dad popped my Bubble Of Hope by suddenly started shouting at me. He stopped the microwave, and took out my kebab which was on flames that this point. After putting out the fire, he started lecturing on me about the stupidity of microwaving something with foil wrapped around it. In my defense, I was never taught that, so technically it was his fault for not teaching me.

I really did wish that I would be transported in time :(

Or at least to another dimension where there were flying sheeps or something . . .

&&. hot chocolate

A rather interesting event happened today. It involved an awesome fork trident of peas, one cup of hot chocolate, and a very hyperactive and easily pleased friend. So basically I showed the fork of peas to the Jessie unnamed friend who was standing behind me, and she semi-jumped up with joy. Of course, she was holding the cup of hot chocolate, and unfortunately, it spilt onto me.

Half of my hair got soaked, while some blotches got onto my blouse, a big splash on my scarf, and a long trickle of hot chocolate onto my English book & laptop cover. Everyone was stoned for a couple of second, before Natalie was rushing for tissue and Jessie the unnamed friend started to apologise profusely.

Also, if Jessie the unnamed person is reading this post ( which is highly possible ), and still feel guilty about the incident, let me say this. My hair smelt of yummy hot chocolate for two hours, and I now know that awesomeness is always in danger within proximity of you and your hot chocolate :D

&&. volunteering

At the beginning of this term, Monica (a friend) and I do volunteering at the Salvation Army store in Lakemba on Wednesday afternoons, instead of doing sport. This week however, all volunteers from our school did the The Salvation Army's Red Shield Appeal, where we go to people's doors and ask for donations.

It all just so happened to be very cloudy, with weather warnings alerting us about severe winds. So we trudged on from house to house, fighting like brave army soldiers against the wind. Of course, this makes many people pity us ;) We successfully collected $30.40, which is a cause for celebrations ! Yaaaaaaaaaay ♥

But it seems that I have some bad luck with animals. Two furry cats will not stop staring at us, a small fat dog seems to enjoy sneaking up from behind me, and a vicious snarling greyhound scared the shit out of my soul.

In the end, we recieved a certificate for our work, many thank you's, a free Big Mac voucher, and very tired legs. All of us took a group photo, which I will post up once when I get my hands on it. I enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling at the thought that I helped someone's life through this act ♥

&&. bus drivers

So I normally take the bus home after school, and today was no exception. It was raining quite heavily, and as I raced down to the 109 bus, there was a mob of students who were cussing like sailors. After I joined in the mob, I realised that all the traffic was caused by this ONE girl, who didn't bring her bus pass, and refused to pay the money.

So we were all stuck, standing out in the rain for 5 hours (translation - 2 minutes), showed off a fine example of the Generation Z's colourful language, gave plenty of death threats, until we finally got on the bus. I ended up soaking wet with sticky clothing, damp hair, and a very VERY bad temper.

The only thing that made me happy was a warm shower, hot chocolate, and yummy cup noodles ♥ Anyhow, the moral of the story is that all some bus drivers suck >:(
